I went to the Celery Farm today in Allendale ,,,which was very overgrown with every invasive in the book along with the natural flora ,,,
Although the lighting was good the most activity was on the Platform which does not get Sun on the surrounding bushes to about 9:30 because of the Trees that are on the backside of it ,,so I had to use a 320 to 400 ISO with the GH3 for the Common Yellothroats .
I did manage a couple decent shoots with the shutter Speed tinkering at about 1/125th to 1/165 of a second.

The Meadowlands with the GH3
I picked up the Panasonic GH3 with the 20mm 1.7 lens ,,,so I gave it a field workout with good lighting on some Indigo buntings although with the 25/60 wide eyepiece the DOF is quite shallow so a little experimenting with the aperture is needed.

Red Eyed Vireo on a Hot Spring Day
Since we are having are first Heatwave,,,I don't really have the ambition to travel to much for shots considering it has been in the 90"s with high humidity makes for sub-par captures...
I drove about 3 minutes to Hofstra Park a local area that has breeding Red Eyed Vireo's ,,Indigo Buntings and some other common species and did manage a few captures , it was a little less Humid today so the Heat Distortion was not as intense but still present.
There was also a ragged looking first year Male Indigo Bunting Singing his Heart out ,,,hopefully hhe finds a potential mate but maybe he is a little inexperienced.
