Horned grebe a little back lit

Back lit horned grebe, but that was just a minor infraction compared to what almost happened to me and my Truck.
I was actually searching for a Snowy Owl at Liberty state park and when I returned to my Truck, a State Park Ranger asked me if I was Kevin Bolton as he was looking over my Toyota, I said sure that's my name and he proceeded by saying I am going to have to impound your vehicle for it is not registered, I was a bit concerned considering it was 20 degrees and about 25 miles to my home plus the fines by the State Park system are usually double compared to towns, and I could only imagine the impound fee to get my truck back!
Luckily I had an insurance card that was not up to date but valid so the State Ranger called my insurance company and they confirmed , so he said if I were you you better go to Motor Vehicle and take care of that or I will put out a warrant in the state and if you get pulled over that will be it!! So I cut my day short and proceeded to Motor Vehicle.

Thoughts of Spring

Since we had our first feel and sight of real Winter, I thought this Neo tropic migrant / Blue Winged Warbler/ would bring on some warmer thoughts.

Red Headed Woodpecker late fall treat

In recent years the Red Headed Woodpecker status has declined as do to habitat loss , so it is always a treat when I come across one of these beauty's!

I Digiscoped these adults in there favorite wintering habitat, and I was surprised at 60 to 80 feet the Quality was decent also I found an abundance of Sparrows including this American Tree Sparrow.

Another White Throat

I found some more captures from  last Sunday that worth salvaging, now that the weather is terrible today I will be editing and trying to force my way out to go Xmas shopping hopefully the pain is not to bad .
