True Distant captures with the S90

I went out to the local Duck Pond and pushed the S90 to the Max focal length on some Ring Necked Duck"s , and I was quite impressed being at a distance of about 100 + feet ,it actually made the falling through the Ice experience I had earlier that morning not to bad!

With a void of Birds beside the Screech Owl the only decent photo was this Mallard from a local pond I could post hopefully tommorow at the Meadowlands will be a little more enticing

Shutter release for Canon Powershot S90

After painstakingly trying to figure out the correct and most stable way to connect my S90 to my Kowa 883 with having use of my Shutter release system I finally figured it out.
The Kowa DA3 has a support for the Camera with a tripod screw and so does the Vixen Shutter release/support , one thing I did not notice is that the Vixens Tri-pod Screw is threaded on the inside so all I had to do is thread the thumbscrew from the DA3 plate into the Vixens Thumbscrew alas I have a complete shutter release that works with the Canon S90/Kowa Prominar 883/884.

And I would also like to Thank Stu of Hakodate Birding for helping me find the the correct Adapters for the system that I will eventually purchase I would just have to say they are a bit Pricey though , here is Stu's Blog with his great Photo's

Canon powershot S90

I just purchased the Canon Powershot S90. Previously, I requested an adapter from a Japanese Company; Turbo Adapter. They said they cannot ship their product. I can't understand why they denied sending me the product, that will utilize the S90 to a premier digiscoping tool. I'm hoping I can resolve this problem.

Otherwise I think the Canon Powershot S90 is an excellent choice for a Digiscoping camera with it's RAW function and versatile self timer, and great contrast , I know it will complement any Kowa/DA3/DA4 combo with brilliant results.

By the way all of my recent shots with the S90 were not with a Shutter release cable they were done with one of my digits Ala finger, so when I apply a Shutter release system the captures should be even sharper!
