Lincoln's Sparrow selective perch

It is usually a good idea when trying  to gain a capture with a skulker such as these Lincoln's Sparrows, is to set up a selective perch or two for good composition.
I was surprised that they found the perch I placed up appealing, which made it a lot easier to grab a few captures.
The lighting was OK it was a bit early in the morning, I had the ISO set at 100 and had about a 1/100th shutter speed which gave me a few blurry shots to weed through but I did gain a few keepers like these.

The Meadowlands Birding festival

On Sept 11th I had a table with my Digscoping  equipment and a  Kowa Optics information display to promote my Digiscoping workshop for Sunday at the  Meadowland s Birding festival, along my side was the American Birding Association, Wild Birds Unlimited ,The Hackensack River keeper, all a great bunch of folks supporting a great conservation effort.

Before the festival I went down to Mill Creek Marsh to take advantage of the great migration that came through including Shore Birds, and a great variety of Warblers which gave me some great photo opportunitys.

Working with Black and Blues and other dark colors

Previously I posted how to work with whites , now I would like to display the other end of the spectrum with a Common Grackle, I shot  in very low light conditions I even bumped up the ISO to about 200 , I was totally amazed that the noise level was at a minimum .
I still retained the detail with a shutter speed at about 1/20th of a second.

Kowa Prototype Telephoto lens

I was quite amazed when Paul Hackett sent me this link , I think this Lens will be an innovated turn into Digiscoping .
Paul mentioned that he tried this lens coupled with a Nikon D300 and he was truly impressed with virtually no Chromatic aberration in sight, will this piece of glass lure me away from my trusty 883/884 well maybe an addition to my Digiscoping arsenal , It will be welcomed with open arms!

Full frame non downsizing

To see the true detail of a certain scope or camera try downloading a fullsize picture, this way the true sharpness will shine if everything is on the money and you can see any infractions too,
