Florida DigiScoping Merritt Island + Orlando Wetlands Part 1

I recently ventured outside the Jersey Zone to sample some fine Digiscoping opportunity's and to pick up some lifers to boot, also I had the utmost pleasure to to shoot and Bird with Roy Halpin, without his knowledge my trip wouldn't have been nearly as good.

First stop was Merritt Island Seashore wildlife refuge with I had a chance with some Roseate Spoonbills

White Ibis were also abundant , also I had to chuckle about the story Roy told me about the White Ibis.

Next stop was to a lovely ladies home in Titus ville with a terrific Bird Feeder set up, in which there were about 10 Painted Buntings.

Thanks Laurilee for sharing the wonderful Central Florida nature setting in her yard ,did I mention Laurilee founded the Space Coast Birding  and Wildlife Festival a wonderful 6day event

Along with being the owner of Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant , in which I stopped by with Roy for take out ,that was one of my best decisions for the local fare!
Here is the Website.

Next stop was Scrub Ridge trail in search for Florida Scrub Jays and we hit the jack pot with these incredible tame gentle Birds what a treat!!

So that cover"s my first day ,and what a great time Roy thanks a million for your Southern Hospitality ,and Laurilee for opening your wonderful backyard for a treat of a lifetime.

Kevin,

Awesome shots, especially of the spoonbill. Which Kowa eyepiece is the best?

Nick Sorry for the late reply but I like the Kowa 30x the best when using the CanonS90 with the 20~60 zoom a close second.
