Nikon P6000 UR-E21 adaptor

Finally,

Man after two weeks of extensive searching I finally located a Camera retail store that is carrying conversion lens adaptor the URE-21 the couples the 42mm Kowa adaptor ring to the TSN10-DCA , even Nikon had a job locating a store in Long Island N.Y that happens to have 15!!
Watch once it arrives at my door all the other stores will get item in stock what can ISay you snooze you loose, O,boy for a lousy $29 ,
Call me fanatic yes/ Call me obsessed yes /I'm only trying to deliver the best fine feather detail and sharpness with my captures. right now the Nikon P5100 is a wonderful camera but I do have issues with the off pitch in the threads of the URE-20 connecting with the Kowa adaptor ring leading to be a bit off center rendering thee 20x60zoom eyepiece almost useless for Digiscoping without alot of fiddling around .

So hopefully the P6000 adaptor will correct the problem , also I would like to check out the P6000's RAW feature

So jealous of Kowas range of digiscoping accessories, with Ziess you're pretty much limited to the 2 proprietary adaptors which are nice but expensive(though I've never tested the Nikon stuff to see if it fits outright.

When you digiscope do you locate your subject with the scope and then attach the camera or use live-view/the viewfinder to track them down, and if so how do you determine focus?

Not sure if you follow Andy Brights forum but there is a thread about the camera here.

Stoked to see the shots you turn up with the P6000.

I use the LCD with a cheap slide viewer harnessed on and focus+locate through the LCD only. if the P5100 had a electronic viewfinder as the P8400 has that would be Kickin ,
Neil Fifier gave mr some info that the price on 8400"s is dropping pretty good, as myself im always wary of on-line used items which might hamper me from purchasing an 8400,as for the p6000 the adaptor will be in next week and I should be able to field test it with the 883 by thursday.

Also yes Kowa has an wide variety of adapters and so-on I cant wait to get a better DSLR and couple it with there Zoom SLR adaptor Roy Halpin had some great results with that combo.

P.S THANKS FOR THE THREAD.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK K~

Now the best point and shoot for Digiscoping is the Nikon P5100 and posible P6000 .

A camera the apeture mode is ideal this way the proper shutter speed is chosin.
Smaller point and shoots most likly just has auto mode which leaves you to the mercy of the cameras brain end results not to satisfying.

Hi again Kevin..another question for you..do you use the universal camera adapter the tsn-da4 for your nikon? if not what adapters and what is the cost of the deal..we are looking at 500 dollars for the universal adapter and the tsn-da10..yikes..seems allot of money and i don't know if my casio xlim will work well with it...i do like the size of the xlim and it takes nice pics..
i just use my pics in a blog..nothing professional...just for fun.
MY husband likes the idea of being able to move from scope to camera quickly as well.
So where will I get the most bang for the buck?
thanks

Hi again...Well i put the set up in the above post that we are thinking of getting...and I want to know if there would be another way to go that might be better..rather than spend the 500 dollars for that set up? What I was saying is that i am no professional..i would do this for fun.
Also having the ability to switch quickly from scope to camera would be nice.
thanks.

Hi Dawn I use the TSN-DA10 COUPLED WITH A 29 AND 43 MM adaptor ring depenpending if I use the 5100 or 6000, but the TSN-da4 will prob work fine with the CASIO,you should use that adaptor cause it is made for your Kowa scope and a basic P&S,talk to Eagle Optics also to make shure that combo will work.

Any other Questions Feel free to ask

I'm new to this digiscoping and I'm not exactly sure where I should ask this question. I have the Nikon P6000 and I plan to purchase the Nikon Prostaff 20-60x80 Spotting Scope. What other things do I need to get and where do I get them to create a digiscope package?

Hi Kevin. I like your site a lot. Good info a great images. I just purchased a Kowa 883 and I'm considering the P6000 / UR-E21 with the DA10 adaptor from Kowa. What step ring did you get for coupling? 43mm to what?

Thanks in advance. I've been digiscoping for 6 years mostly with my old trusty CP 4500 / Swarovski AT80-HD combo. Now that I've "upgraded" the scope I need different parts(;>
