Wallkill Grasslands

It has been the first time I have been to the Wallkill Grasslands in over a year ,and the chorus of Blue Winged Warblers,Prairie Warblers,Field Sparrows and Grasshopper Sparrows were in the air.

One are two things that were a bit disturbing to me, was the farmers property next to the parks boundary's of the preserve totally killed the habitat for nesting Grasshopper Sparrows, along with  some construction workers that were building some kind of a shed at the boundary of the park which totally killed the aura and beauty of this jewel, the icing on the cake was some pathetic loser that just lets his Britany Spaniels trounce wildly through the nesting area of the Sparrows and tries to retrieve them with his pathetic Dog whistle the does not do a damm thing!
